 My first exposure to glass audio! The lot of us listened for hours that day.

The picture above shows the original Jones plug in place. Below my amps were fitted with a standard RCA socket. (this mounted on a small Al plate)

The dark style GEC KT66 last forever and are easily the best valves for this amp. They are getting very pricey. My amp also used Mullard NOS EF86.

Do not replace the GZ32 with any solid state device. You will crush the sound

Do not change the old carbon resistors! they are actually quite stable. Some of the old caps will leak and it is worthwhile considering modernization here. My advice would be if it works leave it! It will most definitely will be more valuable in the long run.
