Ram Compact UP
The very popular Ram Compact
The Compact was an infinite baffle budget speaker built with units from Seas, using a doped 6.5 inch bass/midrange and a soft plastic dome hf unit. These speakers were immensely popular, particularly in Scandinavia, the home of Seas (coals to Newcastle).
The mini Bookshelf UP
The Mini-Bookshelf was designed as a small speaker for the classical music enthusiast, and was used for assessment in our application to the BBC for the license to build their compact monitoring speaker, the LS3/5A (see below). The bass/midrange was an Audax 6.5 inch unit, with an Audax fabric dome hf unit.
The Ram Bookshelf UP
The Bookshelf was a scaled down version of the RAM1, using the Dalesford 8 inch bextrene bass/midrange, with an Audax fabric dome hf unit. This, like the Compact, was very popular and sounded much larger than its size suggested
The Ram 100 UP
The Ram 100 (mid sized stand mounter)
This used the same units as the Bookshelf (both this and the Bookshelf were based on the original RAM1 design).

Ram 150 UP
The Ram 150, Classic Ram
The RAM150 introduced our first use of ABR's instead of reflex ports, with the ABR manufactured on a Dalesford frame.
The following pictures show a fine example sold on eBay UK recently. Text included. They sold for 60 pounds. These are amazing speakers. and in my opinion are very desirable. As description a highly desirably and very rare pair of RAM Electronics 150 Monitor speakers from the late 70's. In AMAZING condition for their age, and I was the first person to ever remove the grilles in their 28 years, for these photographs. Very solidly made and using a Dalesford D50/200 bass unit, apparently VERY similar to a Kef B200 and of good quality with a large magnet and rubber surround so no foam rot worries. Each speaker is also fitted with an Audax dome tweeter, of some kind of fabric? Maybe silk but I can't say for sure. All of these drivers are in fantastic condition, the tweeters especially so. Additionally, each unit is fitted with an ABR (Auxiliary Bass Radiator) as found on many Celestion and Kef designs of the day. It allows an otherwise quite compact speaker to really dig deep into the bass and creates an equivalent effect of having a 10 to 12 inch driver in the cabinet instead of an 8 inch unit. Each speakers comes with a PERFECT grille and good quality box steel stands on castors for easy movement. Also, not only do they accept the 2 pin DIN style connectors but also happily accept more modern 4mm banana plugs for cable connection. There is no provision for bare cable connection. You can see very faint lines on top of each cabinet, and I discovered why this is. During their whole lifetime, these speakers have been used upside down by their previous owner! EIther out of preference or more likely out of ignorance although the rear label would've been upside down so difficult to get wrong really! The marks will come out with a light sanding and rewax. They are adhesive marks from the stands. The speakers WORK PERFECTLY and I do mean that. I have tested them fully with every type of music. They are a matched pair and I have never seen another pair. The price may seem a little steep but I could break them down for more so I think it's reasonable. You'll struggle to build a better diy pair. Each cabinet is braced internally and the crossover looks to be of good quality. Rated at 70w RMS each and 4-8 ohms each they thrive on PROPER power, not a midi system, so if you can do these justice then they will more than fit the bill. Measuring around 2 feet high,1 feet wide and 25cms deep (excluding stands) they blend in with most environments. Collection is of course an option but I will post them at the rate mentioned. Bear in mind they will come as TWO separate parcels as they are around 15kg each packed

The Ram 200
Easily spotted with its larger ABR. The Ram 200 also has a modified Dalesford driver (larger magnet)
This image was taken from an Italian HiFi magazine. The 200 is a fantastic looking speaker.

The Ram 400 UP
The Ram 400
The RAM400 was a top end speaker using KEF units, including the old B139 bass unit. What was unusual about this speaker was that the bass enclosure was an infinite baffle design, which no-one had ever done before with a B139. The bass was very tight and clean, and imagery was great.
I would love to find out more about these speakers. If you have any information, magazine reviews or any personal experience please
